The Hg2+ mercury ion probe has high selectivity and sensitivity to Hg2+ ions and good water solubility. When the water sample to be tested contains Hg2+ ions, the mercury ion probe reacts with the Hg2+ ions to produce a ring-opening reaction, and the generated product emits 585nm emission light under 530nm excitation light. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the product, so the detected fluorescence intensity can be used to detect the content of mercury ions in the water sample to be tested.
